Versions & changelog

Every released version of the fpml-convert artifacts, newest first. Each entry links to that version's exact files. The downloads page always tracks the latest.

The Python package is also on PyPI, which keeps every version available forever: pip install fpml-convert==X.Y.Z — pypi.org/project/fpml-convert.

0.6.3

Released 2026-10-04 · FpML 5.10

0.6.2

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • The interpreter now also shows its own build version (not just the FpML version it targets) in Structile's "?" info popup, e.g. "Interpreter build: v0.6.2" — linked to the downloads page, so you can compare and tell if a loaded interpreter is out of date.
  • No change to how documents are converted in any of the three languages.

0.6.1

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • The JavaScript interpreter now tells Structile's viewer where to find this project's own documentation — it shows up as a link in the viewer's "?" info popup whenever the interpreter is loaded.
  • No change to how documents are converted in any of the three languages.

0.6.0

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • Downloadable packages. The converter is now published as a Python wheel + source distribution, a single-file Python drop-in (no install), and a self-contained C++ source tarball, alongside the existing JavaScript interpreter — each with a checksum manifest. See the downloads page.
  • The Python package is self-contained: pip install fpml-convert needs no repository checkout.
  • No change to how documents are converted — output is identical to 0.5.0.

0.5.0

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • New C++17 converter. A single header + source file that depends only on the C++ standard library (its own XML and JSON handling built in), producing exactly the same JSON as the JavaScript and Python versions. Includes a small command-line tool.
  • No change to the conversion result for the JavaScript or Python paths.

0.4.0

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • New Python converter. A standard-library-only module and python -m fpml_convert command line, matching the JavaScript interpreter's output for the supported document set.
  • The set of recognised elements and their ordering is now driven by a single shared rules file, so all implementations stay in step.

0.3.0

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • Write FpML back out. In addition to reading FpML into JSON, the converter can now serialise an edited value back to schema-ordered FpML, so a document can be round-tripped. Number and date text is preserved exactly, never reformatted.

0.2.0

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • Coverage widened to the full element vocabulary of the FpML 5.10 interest-rate-swap example set (vanilla, amortising, compounding, stub/step-up, long-stub, cross-currency, OIS). Anything still outside the supported set is reported as a clear error rather than converted partially.

0.1.0

(older release — build artifacts no longer available for download)

  • First release: read an FpML 5.10 interest-rate-swap document into a plain nested value. Cross-reference (href) elements become link markers; unknown elements are rejected rather than silently dropped. Forward products such as FRAs are not yet supported.
