Examples used for testing

All three implementations are checked against the same set of documents. The JavaScript projection of each is the reference; the Python and C++ converters are compared to it byte-for-byte, and every example is also round-tripped (XML → value → XML) and checked to be independent of key order.

The FpML 5.10 example corpus

Seven interest-rate-swap example files from the FpML 5.10 Recommendation, confirmation view, retrieved unmodified from fpml.org on 2026-09-01. Together they exercise the full ~95-element vocabulary the supported subset covers.

File What it exercises
ird-ex01-vanilla-swap.xml Vanilla fixed-float single-currency swap — the baseline
ird-ex02-stub-amort-swap.xml Initial stub period plus an amortising notional schedule
ird-ex03-compound-swap.xml Compounding floating leg
ird-ex04-arrears-stepup-fee-swap.xml Fixing in arrears, a step-up notional, and an additional payment (fee)
ird-ex05-long-stub-swap.xml Long initial stub spanning more than one calculation period
ird-ex06-xccy-swap.xml Cross-currency swap with notional exchanges
ird-ex07-ois-swap.xml Overnight index swap (OIS)

Boundary and minimal cases

File Role
ird-ex08-fra.xml A real FpML FRA example (same source and license). Used as a rejection test — FRAs are out of scope, so the converter must refuse it with a clear error rather than convert it partially.
ir-swap-minimal.xml A small synthetic fixture — the smallest document that still exercises attribute ordering, array grouping, and href link resolution. Used for the packaging round-trip checks.

All example files are downloadable above, and are also bundled in each release's C++ and study material where applicable.
