FpML (Financial products Markup Language) is the ISDA
standard for describing OTC derivatives as XML. A trade is a deeply nested, namespaced
<dataDocument> with id/href cross-references
between its parts. Below is a small but complete FpML 5.10 interest-rate swap: a
5‑year EUR trade, one leg paying a 3.25% fixed rate, the other paying 6‑month
EURIBOR, on a €100m notional.
Edit either side and convert. Convert → parses the FpML and projects it to JSON; ← Convert serialises the JSON back to schema-ordered FpML. The mapping is reversible without the schema, so you can clear one side and rebuild it from the other. This runs the exact JavaScript interpreter bundle that fpml-convert ships — entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
The «…» markers around some JSON values (e.g.
"«PARTYA»") are how a pure href reference is recorded —
they let a viewer such as Structile render
the value as a link to the element whose @id matches, and
← Convert turns them back into href attributes. See
the projection mapping for the full rules and
the test corpus for larger real-world examples.
